Perimenopause: A special reparenting opportunity

What's Important is That We Don't Lose Sight of What Matters Most

There’s no such thing as a perfect parent.

Yet, sometimes we tell ourselves there is when we compare ourselves to other parents.

The truth is…

We ALL make mistakes.

We may even have regrets.

And we also ALL have the ability to learn from the past and do better next time.

We CAN choose to focus on what matters most - the connection we have with our children.

We CAN offer ourselves forgiveness.

We CAN apologize to our children.

We CAN learn HOW to move forward and cultivate harmonious relationships.

But, we may not know HOW…

And it’s true, we don’t know what we don’t know…And we can’t see what we can’t see…

When you work with me, you gain clarity on HOW to be the kind of parent you really want to be (but currently struggle to be).

In our 1:1 sessions, you will feel SEEN and UNDERSTOOD by me. I will guide you to explore what may be blocking you from attaining what you desire. That is, I help you see your blindspots. And I offer tools to help you move forward with substantial momentum.

I’ve made the conscious choice to reject the toxic negativity I see and hear surrounding the topic of perimenopause. To clarify, I’m choosing to view this phase in my life as a natural transition and a sacred invitation. An invitation to show up for myself - like a parent does for their child. To show up in a way that’s conscious and supportive. (NOT judgy and shaming) Feeling called to join me? I’m choosing to recognize that big changes are, indeed, taking place… Reminiscent of the pre-teen and teen years… Anxiety, irritability, pimples, headaches, inflammation, forgetfulness, shifts in sleep patterns, feeling extra tired, body appearance changes, etc. A recalibration of hormones is, indeed, taking place. And I’m choosing to have faith in my body’s process. And if we REALLY pay attention and listen, we gain insight into ways to offer ourselves support… It’s an opportunity to reparent ourselves, by offering compassionate, responsive care. Examples: -Resting when we feel tired, as opposed to ‘pushing through.’ -Noticing and validating uncomfortable feelings that manifest. -Replacing body-shaming tendencies with love and appreciation. Want to join me in cultivating a new, kinder and more functional relationship with yourself? And regardless, of what life stage you’re currently experiencing, I’m here to help.
