I can help!
“I was such an overwhelmed mom before this. I yelled almost every day, but more than that I had lost my joy and I just felt like I was drowning in my life most of the time. I’m building trust with my children every day now instead of tearing it down. I’m responding to my kids’ tantrums etc. most of the time in ways that I’m proud of. I truly didn’t expect to get so much out of this parenting program, but it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. And I know the work I did will echo positively into future generations of my family."

"Janet helped me do a lot of inner work on myself as a mother and it felt like years of therapy during an invaluable few months being coached by her. She provided me with tools on how to show up for my kids while setting and respecting my own boundaries. Her approach is beyond helpful and life-changing. "

“Coaching sessions with Janet have been exceedingly helpful in teaching me methods to better understand my reactions and guide me to the parenting choices I want to be making. I highly recommend all of Janet's services. You will likely not find anyone more understanding whose calm confidence helps you build the skills to be the best parent you can be!
Your kids will thank you."

Hello! I’m Janet.
As a certified Parent Coach and credentialed Educator, I have been working closely with families of diverse backgrounds and needs for over two decades.
I founded Loving-Kindness Parenting in 2021 where I offer personalized coaching services and a transformational parenting program for parents located anywhere in the world as well as an in-person social-emotional learning class for kids (and their parents!) in Ventura County.
I understand the wide range of challenges that come with being a parent. Not long after my first child was born, I became increasingly aware of the need to address challenges from a parent-centric angle.
With a focus on having compassion or loving-kindness for ourselves, I help parents - at any stage of their journey - break free from painful cycles keeping them stuck, build nervous system resilience, experience more ease, acquire useful strategies, gain confidence, and reclaim joy.
Additionally, as a result of client suggestions and needs, I have recently expanded my services to include helping individuals that may not be parents themselves, but want to do this transformative work so that they, too, can feel feel better and improve the quality of their own lives.
Along with highly effective coaching methods, I weave in breath work, somatic awareness practices, educational information and tools that feel good and make sense to help guide clients in the direction of healing and transformation. My clients can count on getting the results they desire - and
so much more!
Imagine...
- feeling seen, heard and understood
- breaking free from cycles holding you back
- healing wounds you experienced in your childhood, so you can move forward
- learning the specifics of how to communicate with others in ways that leave you feeling proud
- feeling more attuned to your own needs and the needs of your children
- learning the specifics of HOW to be the kind of parent you want to be, but struggle to be
- having a secure, connected relationship with your children that lasts into and through their adulthood
- feeling confident that you're on the right path
- feeling an overall greater sense of ease
How It Works:
When you book a call with me, we’ll have a conversation so that I can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where I can offer support.
I’ll explain my approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.
If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started. If it’s not a good fit, I will do my best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
